Such Aadhaar card has multiple security features. It also has a digitally signed secure QR code. UIDAI now allows you to get Aadhaar card through the official website even if you don’t have a registered mobile number. But due to security concerns, UIDAI had discouraged cardholders from buying a pocket-sized copy of their Aadhaar card in the open market. Instead, it issued secure PVC cards and said that the agency itself would send these to cardholders’ addresses. Aadhaar PVC Aadhaar card directly issued by UIDAI has better quality printing and lamination than available in the market.
PVC Aadhaar cards are made of Polyvinyl Chloride. These are made similar to ATM cards. Also, it doesn’t get wet even if it falls in water so there is no need to worry about damage. It includes QR code, hologram, name, photo, date of birth and other required information
How to order PVC Aadhaar Card online
- ∙Take the link of UIDAI official website uidai.gov.in to order PVC Aadhaar Card online
- ∙In that select My Aadhaar option
- ∙ Click on ‘Order Aadhaar Card’ option.
- ∙Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Card (UID) Number / 16-digit Virtual Identification (VID) Number / 28-digit Aadhaar Entitlement Number.
- ∙ Perform verification
- ∙The ‘OTP’ will be sent to your registered mobile number
- ∙Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’
- ∙Enter the OTP
- ∙ Get preview of PVC Aadhaar card. Check it out
- ∙Then pay the fee of Rs.50 through net banking or credit or debit card. Payment can be made through Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI or Net Banking.
- ∙Your PVC Card will be delivered to your home address through Speed Post.
- ∙ Service request number will be received as SMS. Also get receipt with digital signature on screen.
- ∙ Download and save the receipt.
Now if you want to apply offline, you just need to go to the nearest Aadhaar center and fill a form. A fee of Rs.50 is also payable. You will receive the PVC card at your address within five to six days of application.
Number not registered How to order PVC Aadhaar Card online
If your phone number is not registered in Aadhaar, click on ‘My mobile number is not registered’ checkbox and enter the unregistered phone number to receive OTP temporarily.
- Enter the OTP number and click on the submit button
- On the screen that opens, verify all the required details on the Aadhaar card and click on the Make Payment button
- Make payment by selecting a payment mode from Credit/Debit Cards, UPI or Net Banking
- After the payment process is completed, keep the acknowledgment slip downloaded for reference.
