IBPS Clerk Educational Qualification:
- Degree (Graduate) in any subject from a Government recognized University. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Computer Literacy: Working experience and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. Candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Graduation in Computer Operation/Language/Computer/Information Technology as a subject in High School/College/Institute.
- Proficiency in the official language of the State/UT (candidates should be able to read, write and speak the official language of the State/UT) is desirable for the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply.
IBPS Clerk Age Limit (as on 01 July 2023):
20 to 28 years
Age Relaxation:
- 5 years for SC/ST
- 3 years for OBC
- 10 years for PWD category
- Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen – Actual period of service in Defense Forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen from SC / ST) subject to maximum limit of 50 years
- Widows, divorced women, women legally separated from husbands who have not remarried- Age relaxation upto 35 years for General/EWS category, 38 years for OBCs and 40 years for SC/ST categories.

Selection Process of IBPS Clerk :
- IBPS Clerk Selection Process is based on Preliminary Exam and Main Exam.
- Candidates who secure the cut off marks of the preliminary examination are called for the main examination.
- Final merit list is based on mains exam only.
Preliminary Exam: 100 questions of 100 marks for 60 minutes.

- Applicants must qualify each of the three tests by securing the cut-off marks decided by IBPS.
- Adequate number of candidates will be shortlisted for Online Mains Examination as decided by IBPS as per requirement in each category.
Mains Exam: 190 questions for 200 marks in 160 minutes
At the time of Main Exam: Candidates should bring duly attested Online Preliminary Exam Call Letter (with attested copy of ID proof) and Main Exam Call Letter. These documents and other required documents should be submitted during main examination.

Penalty for wrong answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary & Mains Examination)
- There will be penalty for marking wrong answers in objective tests.
- For each question answered incorrectly by the candidate, a penalty of one-fourth of the marks awarded for that question or 0.25 marks will be deducted to arrive at the corrected score.
- If a question is left blank, i.e. the candidate has not marked any answer, there will be no penalty for that question.
Application Fee for IBPS Clerk :
- For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM Candidates: Rs. 175/-
- For all others: Rs. 850/-
