Instructions for Online Registration of Options in MGU B.Ed Admission 2023

  1. Click on the “Account creation”  link provided in the www.cap.mgu.ac.in  web page

  1. Fill in the minimum personal details required with utmost care.
  2. Only one account can be created using a single mobile number and email id. All communications like application number and password shall be sent to the registered mobile number and hence candidates should take utmost care while giving mobile number.
  3. Create a ‘Password’. (The password will be used for all future online operations). The password created by the candidate should not be disclosed to others who may misuse it. This may result in tampering with the options and the University will not be responsible for any such eventuality.
  4. After the successful creation of account, you will be provided a eight digit application number starting with 2. The application number will have to be retained by the candidate for all future online and offline operations.
  5. Fill in the application form with personal details, academic eligibility and the options correctly. The applicant can give upto forty options.
  6. After satisfying him/her that the details entered are correct, the applicants shall remit the application fee online.
  7. Pay the application fee by clicking on the ‘PAY NOW’ button which will redirect the applicant to the Online Payment Gateway.  Applicant can use Debit Card/ Credit Card or Internet Banking facility for making online payment.
  8. After remitting the fee, the applicant will be redirected back to the application page.
  9. Upload the  digital copies of the supporting documents.
  10. Take the print out of the confirmation page which will have to be retained by the candidate for future reference.

Procedure for Applying to Sports Quota Seats

  1. After the final submission of application to merit quota seats, candidates who wish to apply for sports quota seats may choose the option corresponding to sports quota.
  2. In the case of sports quota, select the sports event  applicable to the candidate and details corresponding to the category.
  3. Upload the digital copy of the relevant document
  4. Register options
  5. Submit the application

Procedure for Applying to PD Quota Seats

  1. After the final submission of application to PD quota seats, candidates who wish to apply for PD quota seats may choose the option corresponding to PD  quota.
  2. In the case of PD quota, select the disability category  applicable to the candidate and details corresponding to the category. Please note that only Blind, Deaf and Orthopedically Disabled candidates are eligible to apply to B Ed programmes
  3. Upload the digital copy of the disability Certificate
  4. Register options
  5. Submit the application

Procedure for Applying to Community Merit Quota Seats

  1. After the final submission of application to Community Merit quota seats, candidates who wish to apply for Community Merit quota seats may choose the option corresponding to Community Merit  quota.
  2. In the case of Community Merit quota, select the community applicable to the candidate. Please note that community merit seats are available in aided colleges alone.
  3. Upload the digital copy of the community certificate issued by the competent revenue officer
  4. Register options
  5. Submit the application

Hardcopies of the filled in application shall not be, repeat, shall not be   sent to the University

Application Fee of MGU B.Ed Admission 2023

The application fee will be as follows
For General candidates: Rs 1300/-
For SC/ST candidates: Rs 650/

Sports Quota / Cultural Quota / Quota for differently abled :

Applicants for these quotas can register only by selecting the available option and entering the link while completing the merit seat application. A step will be available for uploading Sports/Cultural Achievement Certificates for Sports Quota applicants. Select the sports/cultural achievement in the specified column on the website and scan and upload its certificate. Be sure to upload each of the applicant’s achievement certificates by selecting the equivalent achievement. Any number of certificates can be uploaded.

 The facility of uploading the differently abled certificate is available for those applying for differently abled quota. After uploading the certificates you can proceed to the next step. Once the online registration is completed, the uploaded certificates can be viewed using the link in the profile. New ones can be uploaded and existing ones can be removed within the specified date. Then provide the required options. Thus only those who have uploaded the certificates and given the required options will be included in the rank list and will be eligible for admission.

Community Merit Quota Admission

Applicants for Community Merit Quota Applicants for these quotas can register only by selecting the option available while completing the application for merit seat and entering the link. The facility of uploading community related certificate is available for those applying for Community Merit Quota. After uploading the community certificate you can proceed to the next step.

 Once the online registration is completed, the uploaded certificates can be viewed using the link in the profile. New ones can be uploaded and existing ones can be removed within the specified date. Then provide the required options. Thus only those who have uploaded the certificates and given the required options will be eligible for admission. Admission to Community Merit Quota will not be allowed after the deadline. Applicants for community merit quota can apply only to aided colleges belonging to their community.

Candidates from various universities should note the following while entering academic information:

Applicants who have passed Degree in Grading Scheme from MG / Kannur / Kerala Universities should enter the academic details as Grade itself. But applicants from Calicut University should select Conventional Marks System and enter ‘Percentage Equivalent’ in their Grade Card. Candidates from other universities should also select Conventional Marks System and enter ‘Percentage Equivalent’
