Applications are invited from the qualified persons for the course “Diploma in Elementary Education” (D.El.Ed Admission) in Government Aided Institutions for the academic year 2023 – 2025. The existing “Diploma in Education” (D.Ed) course in the state was renamed to “Diploma in Elementary Education” ( DL.Ed).The duration of the course is two years with four semesters.

Age Limit for D.El.Ed admission
Applicants should be above 17 years of age or below 33 years of age as on 01.07.2023.
For Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes in upper age limit has 5 years relaxation
For other backward classes and 3 years For ex-servicemen Period of military service is also exempted.
Educational qualifications for D.El.Ed admission
Applicants must have secured minimum 50% marks in any of the following examinations
- predegree or equivalent from any University in Kerala
- Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Kerala Higher Secondary Examination Board
or equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Kerala.
For those who have taken more than three chances to clear the qualifying exam is not eligible to apply for the course. In this regard (Save A Year) exam will also be considered as a chance
Seat details of D.El.Ed admission
In total seats
- 40 percent seats are for science and humanities
- 40 percent for the category
- 20 percent for the commerce category
- 50 percent seats in TTIs held by minority community groups.Remaining 50% seats on general merit basis and respective minority.Admission will be given on the basis of community category and merit.
- In non-minority aided schools Admission to 20% seats on the basis of merit should be given by managers.

10% of marks obtained in interview
How to apply for D.El.Ed admission
- The application should be submitted in the prescribed format. The model form is available below.
- A court fee of Rs.5 (Five) should be affixed at the specified location.
- Scheduled caste/Scheduled Tribes do not need to pay application fee.
- All the columns in the application should be filled and those which are not applicable it should be written.
- Higher Secondary Examination Mark List and other documents attested copies should be submitted along with the application.
Applicant can apply in only one revenue district. In one Such applications will be rejected if applied to more If plus two certificate is not received at the time of submission,you can take a self attested copy of the mark list.
The application should be submitted to the address of the Deputy Director of the education in the revenue district in which the applicants wish to be selected.
